1. Who we are
EyeFlex is developed and operated by King Brain Apps. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@kingbrainapps.com. The data controller is King Brain Apps (registered address and governing jurisdiction: [your business address / jurisdiction]).
2. Information we collect
We designed EyeFlex to collect as little as possible. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or contacts through the App.
Information you provide
- Preferences & self‑check inputs — e.g. your language, reminder times, an optional onboarding profile (such as an age range or guardian mode), and your answers/results in the eye self‑checks. These are stored locally on your device (see §3).
- Support messages — if you email us, we receive the contents of that message and your email address so we can respond.
Information collected automatically (by our service providers)
When the App serves ads or reports basic diagnostics, our providers (Google and Apple) may process:
- Device & advertising identifiers — such as the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) where you allow tracking, and Google advertising/app identifiers.
- Usage & event data — app opens, screens viewed, feature interactions, and similar analytics events.
- Approximate location — coarse, IP‑derived region (we do not collect precise GPS location).
- Technical & crash data — device model, OS version, app version, language, and crash diagnostics.
3. Data stored on your device
The following stays on your device (in local app storage / a local database) and is not transmitted to King Brain Apps:
- Eye self‑check results (e.g. comfort score, Amsler, acuity, color‑vision, astigmatism checks),
- Your comfort trend history and any generated daily plan,
- Reminders you create and your onboarding/profile choices,
- Your ad‑free subscription status and app settings.
Deleting the App from your device removes this on‑device data.
4. How information is used
- To provide and operate the App’s features (self‑checks, reminders, plans, settings).
- To display advertising and, with your consent, to personalize and measure ads.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve stability and performance (analytics & crash reporting).
- To process the optional ad‑free subscription and restore it.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. Advertising & tracking
EyeFlex displays ads through Google AdMob. Depending on your choices and region, ads may be personalized or non‑personalized.
- Consent (EEA/UK and similar regions). We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent choice for personalized advertising where required. You can change your choice at any time from within the App where the consent option is offered.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS). EyeFlex asks for permission before using the IDFA for cross‑app tracking. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non‑personalized.
- Opting out. You can disable tracking at any time in
Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Trackingand limit ad personalization inSettings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Apple Advertising. Subscribing to an ad‑free plan stops all ads in the App.

6. Third‑party services
We rely on the following providers. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies:
| Provider | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Advertising & ad measurement | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google User Messaging Platform | Ad‑consent management | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) | Usage analytics & crash diagnostics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Apple (App Store & In‑App Purchase) | App distribution & purchases | apple.com/legal/privacy |
We do not sell your personal information. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the independent practices of these third parties.
7. In‑app purchases
EyeFlex offers auto‑renewing “ad‑free” subscriptions (monthly and yearly). Payments and renewals are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive or store your payment card details. Your subscription status is validated with Apple so you can restore it, and you can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
8. Notifications
If you create reminders or use the screen‑break timer, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated on‑device — we do not run a push‑notification server and do not collect a push token. You can disable notifications anytime in your device settings.
9. Health & wellness disclaimer
EyeFlex provides general eye‑wellness exercises and educational self‑checks (for example, color‑vision, Amsler grid, acuity, and astigmatism screening tools). These are not medical devices and do not provide a diagnosis or replace a professional eye examination. Your self‑check results are stored on your device and are not shared with us. Always consult a qualified eye‑care professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
10. Children’s privacy
EyeFlex is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps. Where a guardian enables a guardian/child mode, related settings remain on the device.
11. Your choices & rights
- Ad personalization & tracking: manage via the in‑app consent option and iOS
Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking. - Stop ads: subscribe to an ad‑free plan.
- Notifications: manage in iOS
Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ EyeFlex. - Delete on‑device data: delete the App, or clear data from within the App where offered.
- Access/deletion requests: email support@kingbrainapps.com. Because most data lives only on your device, we may direct you to the on‑device controls above.
12. Your rights in the EEA & UK (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent (e.g. personalized advertising), you may withdraw it at any time. Our legal bases are: consent (personalized ads/tracking), legitimate interests (basic analytics, crash reporting, fraud prevention, and showing non‑personalized ads to support a free app), and contract (providing features you request, including purchases). You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
13. Your rights in California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. EyeFlex does not sell your personal information for money. Certain ad‑related data sharing for cross‑context behavioral advertising may be considered “sharing” under California law; you can opt out using the in‑app consent option and iOS tracking controls described in §5 and §11. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
14. Data retention
On‑device data persists until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data processed by our providers (advertising, analytics, crash diagnostics) is retained according to their policies and our configured settings, typically in aggregated or pseudonymized form. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to assist you.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, and our providers use encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
16. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses) implemented by those providers.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice where appropriate. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
