Privacy Policy

App: ROVA — PDF Edit & Scan (the “App”)

Provider: King Brain Apps (“we,” “us,” or “our”)

Effective date: 23 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it on your iOS device. We have written it to reflect what the App actually does: your PDFs are processed on your device, and the App relies on a small number of Google services for advertising, analytics, and stability. Please read it together with Google’s Privacy Policy, which governs the data those services collect.

The short version. All document features — scanning, importing, merging, organizing, converting, compressing, OCR, annotating, signing, watermarking, and password protection — run locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or have access to the contents of your documents. However, the App does include Google AdMob (ads) and Google Firebase (analytics and crash/performance reporting), and these services automatically collect certain device and usage data, as described below.

1. Information Processed On Your Device Only

The files you open, scan, or create — and everything you do to them inside the App — stay on your device. Your library is stored in the App’s local storage (visible in the Files app under On My iPhone → ROVA) and, if you choose, in your own iCloud Drive. We operate no servers that receive your documents, and we never transmit document contents, scans, signatures, or passwords to us or to any third party.

2. Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party Services

To keep the App free and reliable, we integrate the following Google software development kits (SDKs). These services may automatically collect information from your device. We do not receive this raw data ourselves except in aggregated or de-identified reporting dashboards.

2.1 Google AdMob (advertising)

The App displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect:

2.2 Google Firebase

The App includes Firebase components that may collect usage and diagnostic data:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not collect your name, postal address, date of birth, payment details, or the contents of your documents.

4. App Tracking Transparency (ATT) & Advertising

Under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, the App will ask for your permission before using your IDFA to deliver personalized advertising.

You can change your choice at any time on your device under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and you can reset your advertising identifier under Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

5. Sharing of Information

Information collected by the SDKs above is processed by Google as our service provider and, for advertising, may be shared within Google’s advertising network in accordance with its policies. We encourage you to review:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing.

To make a request, email support@kingbrainapps.com. For data held by Google, you may also use the controls in Google’s policies linked above.

7. Data Retention

Documents you create remain on your device (and your iCloud, if you use it) until you delete them; we have no copy. Data collected by Google’s SDKs is retained according to Google’s retention practices described in its privacy policy.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The advertising in the App is not designed for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at support@kingbrainapps.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Because the App uses Google services, information may be processed on servers located outside your country, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards described in Google’s privacy policy.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
